COMPETITION PROJECT: CONCEPTUAL URBAN SOLUTION FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF MATULJI TOWN CENTER WITH MULTIMEDIA CENTER

The project contains several spatial units of the centre of Matulji that required analytical approach in professional formative modification of this, rather demanding, area. The project included a solution of high traffic problems, roundabout and bus and taxi stops, analytical approach to the zones with three squares, restoration of historic park’s square, development of green areas along to the future new buildings. A special emphasis was put on the re-functioning of the old tree-lined promenade and a small square.

The project developed a new conceptual design, that provided a new, interesting and sustainable solutions for the connection of the three zones with the new functional and fluid integrity In that process a traditional heritage of this region, environment, habits and needs of residents and visitors were considered. The harmonised landscape and tradition with modern trends and needs made all facilities more acessible, attractive and widely used.
