Reconstruction of the old sawmill building at the Visitor Center in Kamačnik

The subject matter of this project is to be found in the already existing contents of the outdoor playground and children’s play with the existing wooden houses located in a rocky slope. Wooden houses change their purpose in the play area but remain in the existing scale.

The project also includes access routes and new facilities – mini “square” with sculpture and stands located in the newly designed square of Visitor Center.
Layout patterns are harmonized with the existing conditions.

Due to the purpose and location of the protected area, Kamačnik Canyon, natural materials and specimens of wild animals living in the Gorski Kotar region were used.
