ARCHITECTURAL AND URBAN DESIGN SOLUTION

Basic concept of the area – „square“ is founded on the line that forms dynamic „square“ of architectural and urban design solution as the continuation of the idea of enlarging of the nearby public hundred years old park s area. The „square“ is located at the entrance of the park and, as such represents its vestibule. It is designed as ecological – energy structure of integrated facilities.

„The green stripes“ with decorative grass form the main elements on the square that continues vertically on the surface wall, as well as strip line water elements in the static and dynamic forms. At the entrance of the square the multimedia info panels with LCD screen are installed and represent an interactive zone with entertainment and educational purposes. This solution actually provides technological and ambiental symbiosis of media, culture and urban space. The contact zone of the square and the park are stone stairs – small stands having function room – sitting area opportunity. They were designed as the result of the idea of the complete interaction of all contact zones: the square, brewery area and the Vatroslav Jagić s Park, where one part of the park area is slightly modified in order to obtain better connection of that contact zone.

At the area towards the entrance to the old park, near stands, an art zone is envisaged – to be gallery outdoors – mobile sculptures park – exhibition space of artists. The entire newly designed area is formed to be used for various events – fairs, outdoors libraries, fashion shows, mini shows, puppet shows, mini stand up shows and similar.
