STUDY TRIP SPAIN

Sevilla, Granada, Cordoba, Spain 19.-24.9.2018.
In September, our group of landscape architects visited Andalusia and toured the landscape architecture of Seville, Granada and Cordoba.
At extremely high temperatures we walked the streets of Seville, climbed the Metropol Parasol attractive wooden promenade above the Plaza de la Encarnacion which in addition to the shade of the square serves as a lookout overlooking the city, and its modern wooden structure contrasts the medieval architecture of the city.
We visited various parks such as Parque de Magallanes, rested in the main square Plaza de Espania, walked through the roof garden of Torre Seville, and were especially interested in palaces with traditional gardens such as Casa de Pilatos – one of the world’s most important palaces of Spanish architecture dating from the 16th century.
We especially liked Granada with its cute streets, old town in contrast to modern parks and squares, while we were especially impressed by the Alhambra and Generalife.
